What’s in an Abby and Finn diaper?
It’s great when diapers brands when diaper brands are super clear about the ingredients they use. Our little ones wear diapers 24/7 for the first years of their lives, so it’s important to know what’s in them!
Abby and Finn make the ingredients list for their diapers available on their site. The core contains totally chlorine-free wood pulp from sustainably managed forests, which is great news for our little ones. What isn’t so great is that their top sheet and back sheet are both made from plastic.
Their diapers also contain SAP (super absorbent polymer), which is the bit that soaks up the wetness. This is made with plastics, but all diapers contain plastic-based SAP. There’s no biodegradable alternative… yet!
Aside from these materials, Abby and Finn diapers feature a topsheet and core wraps made with Polyproylene fibers, a polyester acquisition layer and a backsheet made from pp fibers.

You’d be forgiven for thinking diapers are innocent when it comes to hidden toxins, but that couldn’t be further from the truth.
